Are you trying to lead a healthier lifestyle?
Would you like to receive a weekly assortment of handpicked farm produce such as heirloom and red tomatoes, eggplant, spring mix lettuce, arugula, basil and other fresh local vegetables?
Would you like to be able to visit the farm and watch your family’s crops grow?
This family vegetable farm was started by Teena and Steven Borek Sr. in the 1970’s. The farm is currently run by their son Michael, a third generation farmer who is now selling his fresh produce directly to Miami families through its Community Supported Agriculture program (CSA).
In addition to receiving delicious, locally grown vegetables, among them Teenaspride prized Heirloom Tomatoes, CSA members also enjoy family days on the farm during the harvest season, which runs from November 1 through April 30th. These family days will include a greenhouse tour and a farmers market so you can pick up those extra herbs and vegetables from neighbor farms or items such as honey, and homemade pesto. Family days will be held the first Sunday of each month starting on November 6, 2011.
Teenaspride CSA is located at 20025 SW 270th Street Homestead, FL 33031. The farm office’s phone number is 786-243-1714 and the farm’s cell phone number is 305-216-2336. The farm is not open to the public without an appointment, except for the Family Sunday Open House days from 1 to 4p.m.
